The main salon opens completely to the sea — grand piano on one end, curved HD screen on the other, sofas deep enough to disappear into after a long lunch. Days here move at the pace of the tide. Coffee arrives on the shaded terrace as the sun climbs over Île Frégate and Île Bonhomme; by mid-morning you're padding across warm sand to the water. The three-quarter-acre grounds absorb whatever crowd you bring — al fresco diners under one pergola, sunbathers on another deck, a spa session in the heated ten-person tub, a sauna before dinner. What to Try
Order in the private chef for at least one long, wine-heavy lunch on the beachside terrace — this is the villa's superpower and worth every euro. Wake up early one morning to walk the length of Lorient beach before the surfers arrive; it's the closest thing St-Barths has to a working village beach and the light at 6:30 a.m. is unreal. Book a sunset paddle from the sand out toward the offshore islets, then dry off in the pool. And at least once, close the doors, dim the salon, and let someone actually play the piano — the acoustics with the ocean as backing track are ridiculous.

Rent a Mini Moke or small 4x4 the day you land, even if you plan to stay put — Lorient's little grocery (Jojo Supermarché, two minutes up the road) is where Barth insiders actually shop, and having wheels means you can slip into Saint-Jean for a spontaneous lunch or over the hill to Gustavia for cocktails without waiting on a driver. Also: request the eastern master suite if you're the earliest riser in the group. The sunrise over the islets is the shot.
