The Experience
You arrive up the winding Pointe Milou road, the trade winds picking up as you climb, and suddenly the villa opens out onto the sea. Fully rebuilt in 2021, Elle plays the modern-Caribbean note with restraint: pale stone terraces, teak decks, cathedral-ceilinged living rooms that slide fully open to the pool. Days pattern themselves gently — coffee on the terrace as the sun climbs behind you, a swim in the heated pool, a piano-scored aperitif before heading down to Gustavia or Saint-Jean for dinner. Because the villa sits on the windward side, the breeze rarely quits, which locals will tell you is a feature, not a bug — cooler nights, no still air, and the constant background hush of the surf below.
What to Try
Split the party across the two master bungalows so each couple gets its own private terrace — one has a dedicated jacuzzi tucked into the greenery. Screen a film in the home cinema after a long beach day, or claim the fitness room and spa in the late afternoon when the sun drops behind the ridge. And do at least one dinner *in* the villa: hire a private chef through the concierge and eat on the pool terrace with the ocean glowing below.

Pointe Milou faces east, so the villa gets the sunrise but not the postcard St Barth sunset. Locals who stay here plan around it: sundowners on-site with the sky going pink behind you, then a short drive over to Shellona at Shell Beach or Le Ti St Barth (a five-minute hop within Pointe Milou itself) to catch the golden hour by the water. Also — because Elle sits on the windier flank of the point, ask the housekeeper to secure the outdoor cushions before you leave for the day; the gusts here are no joke.

Four bedrooms sleep eight; the layout suits two couples or a family with older kids more than a group of eight friends, since two bedrooms share the main house. A car is essential — nothing on Pointe Milou is walkable except Le Ti. Gustavia is about 10 minutes by road, Saint-Jean beach and the airport around 8.
