Push open the door and you're hit with cool air, the smell of aged cheese, and shelves that read like a love letter to French terroir: seasonal fruit and vegetables flown in from Rungis, a jewel-box charcuterie counter, a fish case gleaming with line-caught catch, and a small cellar of wines, sakes and small-batch liquors you won't find at the bigger supermarkets.
