The Experience
Fish Corner sits on Rue de la République, a short walk from Gustavia's harbor, in a bright, low-key dining room done up in cheerful French-Caribbean colors by French Indies Design. It's compact — around 40 covers — and the vibe is chatty, sun-warmed, more neighborhood bistro than special-occasion temple. Lunch is the main event: locals, boat crews, and clued-in visitors squeezing in between errands and beach time. Thursdays and Fridays the kitchen fires again for dinner, and the room takes on a slower, candle-flicker energy. The menu is short and rewrites itself depending on what the boats bring in, so trust the specials board over anything printed.
What to Try
The tuna tacos are the signature — sashimi-fresh yellowfin folded into crisp shells with a Caribbean-spiced kick — and they're the reason regulars keep the table booked. The royal triggerfish (capitaine) in passion-fruit beurre blanc shows off the kitchen's restraint: one impeccable fillet, one bright sauce, sautéed vegetables, done. If you want something handheld, the mahi-mahi burger is the island's best fish sandwich. Pair with a crisp Provençal rosé from the curated list or one of the house cocktails.
